Craft with Purpose
Join us for Craft, Connection & Reflection
Craft with Purpose is rooted in the belief that creativity can help us process, remember, and heal. These sessions give you the opportunity to pause from the busyness of life and spend time making something that carries personal meaning.
Whether you are remembering a loved one, navigating a difficult chapter, or simply seeking a calmer space to reflect, you’ll be joining a community that understands. Each session is shaped with care to honour your experiences, offering comfort, companionship, and the healing power of shared creativity.

What is Craft With Purpose:
At Craft with Purpose, you’ll be welcomed into a warm, relaxed environment designed to help you slow down, breathe, and create. Each session brings together up to 16 like-minded people who value creativity, connection, and meaningful reflection.
Our workshops are facilitated by Tracy and a talented local artist who will guide you through simple, accessible creative activities with no previous crafting experience required. Whether you come with a friend or on your own, you’ll find a space where you can take your time, try something new, and feel supported.
You can expect:
A friendly, non-judgemental atmosphere where you can be yourself
Guided creative activities that allow you to express memories, emotions, and hope
Space for quiet reflection as well as gentle conversation with others
Community, understanding, and the chance to feel part of something meaningful
Complimentary refreshments including tea, coffee, juice, and biscuits to keep you comfortable throughout
WHY CRAFT?
Craft can help people who are grieving by giving them a calming, creative way to express feelings. Making something with their hands can ease stress, bring a sense of control, and even help them feel connected to others. It’s a gentle way to find comfort and healing.
Children & Age Guidance
We recognise that children grieve in their own unique ways, and creativity can be a gentle way for them to express feelings that may be hard to put into words.
Children of any age are welcome to attend alongside a parent or carer if they are coming to remember someone special.
Please consider whether your child feels comfortable being in a space where grief, memories, and loss may be discussed softly and sensitively.
You are welcome to step out for breaks, take things at your child’s pace, or adapt the activities to suit them.
If you feel your child would benefit from a dedicated children’s bereavement group, we would love to hear from you. Your feedback helps us understand what families need, and we are open to creating a tailored, child-focused programme if there is interest.

The Path to Hope Community Programme is about ensuring that our community experts can earn a living whilst helping ensure that the community can access quality support and services. Money should not be a barrier to accessing mental health community support so therefore, limited free or subsidised spaces are available for those most in need. Donations are also welcome. If you feel you would benefit from this support, please reach out to the community partner.
