Karen Balmer

Karen is a Nurture Teacher at St. Joseph’s Primary School in Antrim, combining her love of teaching with her passion for child psychology. She holds a BSc in Social Psychology and a PGCE, with over 15 years’ teaching experience in Northern Ireland.

A wife and mother of two, Karen is dedicated to helping children grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Inspired by her early interest in supporting children with ASD, she values the science and compassion behind Fresh Minds Education and the AMBER Approach, which she sees helping children build confidence, resilience, and self-belief.
