Course Name: Connections Help Life (Safe Plan Steps Practice Skills)
Duration: Up to 2.5 hours
Course Description:
Help Life offers participants who have completed Link Life with an extended training session to practice the implementation of the Connect-4Ways helper model. This training will also include practice in establishing safe plans for a range of scenarios and these can be modified to reflect the background and setting that the course participants work, volunteer and live in.


Participants leave with:
- Confidence to implement helper skills to support persons in emotional distress and those with thoughts of suicide.
- The practical skills to manage and regulate emotional distress and the emotional safety of self and others in a helping intervention.
Target Group:
This skills practice training is aimed at anyone in the community including workplaces, churches, clubs, and groups and others. It will be of interest to anyone who would like to practice emotional health first aid skills to increase safety from suicide and reduce emotional distress. Participants must be aged 15 years or older.
