Riley McCahon

Riley is a community practitioner and organisational leader with professional experience spanning youth work, education-based programme development, and operational governance. They are Operational Support Lead at Fresh Minds Education. Prior to this, Riley worked as a Youth Support Worker, facilitating inclusive developmental programmes for children and young people aged 4–18 within community-based settings.

Their professional perspective is informed by lived experience of neurodivergence and bereavement. Following a significant personal loss, they became more closely involved with Fresh Minds Education during a period in which they were navigating grief; they also have diagnoses of Autism and ADHD. This experience has informed a research-informed, trauma-aware, and neuro-affirming approach to youth provision and organisational leadership, with particular attention to how grief, identity, and cognitive difference intersect within educational and community context.
