Mental Health & Suicide Prevention Lead
TEMP ROLE COVER – 6months
(Suitable for one person or multiple people undertaking different tasks)
Terms
Contract: Temp Freelance or; Employee option for 21+hrs per week availability (other employee benefits can be discussed if this is an option inc. pension, family friendly, hybrid working, self-care incentives etc)
Salary: 21K – 24k pro rata (essential roles)
24K – 27K (adjustment for extra responsibility with desirable roles)
Role: Ensuring the smooth delivery of existing contracts and leading the facilitator network.
Key Tasks
Essential: Produce materials, co-ordinate and deliver training, launch the facilitator network.
Desirable: Provide clinical and safeguarding oversight for FME programme content, processes, and facilitation team.
Tasks
- Ensure all Connections Link Life processes, content and materials are fit for purpose
- Co-ordinate and deliver Connections Link Life for FME contracts within commissioner timeframes
- Produce the training of facilitator materials required to accommodate the post pandemic Link Life programme being delivered in person
- Produce the new connections link life facilitators platform
- Co-ordinate and deliver Training of Trainer Events
- Approve new Connections Link Life facilitators
- Produce senior facilitator specification, agreement, materials and platform for the approval of senior facilitators
- Facilitate an annual appreciation and review session with senior and FME bank facilitators
- Set up quarterly Gather: Connect, Share & Learn events for mental health and suicide prevention facilitators working across NI
- Invite and encourage participation in this network from individuals and galvanise financial support from organisations benefiting from this professional development network for their facilitating staff and volunteers.
- Provide content for a quarterly magazine Gather: Connect, Share & Learn Mag that helps professionalise the NI Suicide Prevention Facilitator Network & Community
- Capture stories that demonstrate impact of the work for use in showcasing
- Generate and publish professional project, quarterly, annual and global reports that demonstrate impact of the work
- Ensure that results are successfully communicated throughout the organisation, with commissioners and publicly.
- Read facilitator reports, responding, and resolving when necessary
- Approve new facilitators. Review learning logs and assess delivery through direct observation and recorded video, offering supportive feedback for newly approved facilitators.
- Maintain records including the status of participants, non-approved facilitators, FME licensees, FME bank facilitators and FME Senior facilitators on the FME system.
- Provide clinical oversight to FME programme content ensuring that FME content and processes are relevant, safe, aligned with best practice, evidence based and evidence gathering.
- Provide a response to clinical or safeguarding issues flagged within FME programme and service delivery.
