CONNECTIONS SUICIDE AWARENESS

This bitesize awareness course is aimed at anyone in the community who would like to talk about ‘The Elephant in the Room’.   

This course will give you confidence to help and teach easy to follow practical steps so that you can help people in your workplace, family, group, or community who may be in emotional distress or having thoughts of suicide get the help and support they need to keep themselves safe.  

This course lasts between 1.5 and 2.5 hours and is for participants 15 years or older.

CONNECTIONS LINK LIFE

This emotional health and suicide prevention education and skills course is aimed at those in workplaces, advice, community, school, and health settings who are in a caregiving role or for those who with a responsibility to reduce emotional distress and prevent suicide.  

This course will teach and practice the skills and knowledge needed to identify someone who may be in emotional distress or thinking about suicide, intervene and de-escalate risk through establishing a safety plan.  

The course helps you help people in your workplace, organisation, group, church, school or community who may be in emotional distress or having thoughts of suicide get the help and support they need to keep themselves safe.  

This course lasts 3.5hrs including a comfort break.

CONNECTIONS OPERATION LINK LIFE

This emotional health and suicide prevention education and skills course is a version of our Link Life course specifically for veterans and families of veterans.  

This course will teach and practice the skills and knowledge needed to identify someone who may be in emotional distress or thinking about suicide, intervene and de-escalate risk through establishing a safety plan.  

This course lasts 3.5hrs including a comfort break.

CONNECTIONS HELP LIFE
(SAFE PLAN STEPS PRACTICE SKILLS)

Help Life offers participants who have completed Link Life with an extended training session to practice the implementation of the Connect-4Ways helper modelThis training will also include practice in establishing safe plans for a range of scenarios and these can be modified to reflect the background and setting that the course participants work, volunteer and live in. 

This courses lasts for up to 2.5 hours and is for participants 15 years or older.

Connections Senior Lead Ambassador

The Role of a Connections Senior Ambassador is to join a supportive, like-minded group of people who share a common vision and a common goal of easing the pain of living with mental and emotional distress and suicide.  We are passionate about supporting people in their search of having a life worth living, to help them recognise their full potential and add meaning to their life.

You will be joining a growing network of dedicated and passionate human-beings who are committed to contributing to and the ongoing development and re-development of the course content in keeping with our changing times.  You will be invited to contribute your views, ideas and learning through the many feedback mechanisms available to you. Link21Life Campaign

Fresh Minds have decided to embrace the theme of 21% and ask 21 Link Life Suicide Prevention Ambassadors if they would deliver 21 Link Life Suicide Prevention workshops in 21 cities, towns and villages. They also will share their thoughts with you on ‘What Makes Life Worth Living’ with 21 local helping agencies.
