A strong voice for NI Veterans – the website for the first Veterans Commissioner for Northern Ireland
This Handbook is intended to assist the whole Service community by clearly spelling out “who does what for whom” in NI and by identifying local contact details. It is intended to be a reference document and to act as a sign-post to local agencies which, once contacted, can then follow up with support intervention as required.

AA Veterans Support provides help, advice and guidance to those who serve or have served in the British Armed Forces and their families throughout Northern Ireland. The services provided include counselling, respite, complementary therapies, employability support, support groups, benefits and housing advice and guidance, welfare assistance and more.
The Brooke House Health and Wellbeing Centre seeks to support and improve the physical and mental health and wellbeing of uniformed services, retired RUC Officers, Military veterans, and their families, who have been physically injured, psychologically impacted and/or bereaved as a result of their service.
Inspire Wellbeing are an all-island charity and social enterprise with the aim of wellbeing for all. Working with people living with mental ill health, intellectual disability, autism and addictions to ensure they live with dignity and realise their full potential. Campaigning to create a society free from stigma and discrimination, creating a culture of compassion that focuses on people and their abilities.
Let’s Do is a veteran run charity helping people overcome disabilities and come to terms with injuries such as amputees, those with limited vision, partial paralysis and PTSD. The main aim is to support disabled veterans on their road to recovery by creating events that will help to encourage them to become involved and help them to grow confidence whilst becoming comfortable with their disabilities.
